Vision: Generative Autonomous Transportation Systems (GATS)

I am have broad interests in the behavior of machine and human-being. For that motivation, I study human-centered GATS, with a focus on interactive driving behavior, traffic simulation, and data-driven mobility modeling.

My name is Yiyang (Terry) CHEN. I am currently a Ph.D. student in INTR Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), advised by Prof. Jiawei WANG. Before that, I received my M.Eng. degree in Transportation Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU, 2026), as well as my B.Eng. degree in Traffic Engineering from SYSU (2023), where I worked with Prof. Zhaocheng HE.

I am continuing my research on traffic flow modeling, especially conflict behavior at intersections.

研究兴趣：数据驱动的交通流建模、微观交通仿真、智能交通系统的多源数据融合、替代安全指标的分析与验证

Research Interests: Data-driven traffic flow modeling、Microscopic traffic simulation、Multi-source data fusion in intelligent transportation systems、Analysis and validation of surrogate safety measures.

当前研究方向：微观驾驶行为建模、公共交通系统仿真

Current Research Focus: microscopic driving behavior modeling, public transportation system simulation.

• 交叉口人类驾驶行为建模（MA-IRL）
• 自动驾驶仿真平台搭建（SUMO+CARLA）
